Has it been almost 6 months?!?

Holy Moly! I can't believe that it has been almost 6 months since I have updated this thing! We have been crazy around our house but as I sit down to write this I find myself wondering what have we been up to? Well one big thing is that Megan turned 5 in May!2004

2009

She has become quite the little lady and is very excited about going to kindergarten in the fall. Her birthday party was at America's Teaching Zoo at Moorpark College and the had a private animal show and got free run of the zoo.

Meg will be attending Kindergarten at a little catholic school right next to my work and is excited because she will be wearing a uniform. It is the same plaid that I wore in high school so she thought it was funny that we would be the same.

Megan took private swimming lessons for the month of June and we are now proud to say that she is a swimmer.

In June we also had Megan's dance recital. I was not a big fan of the outfit that they chose but she liked it because it was a great twirling dress.

Erin has been being the same carzy little girl that we all love. She is in swimming lessons along with Megan and loves the water. Her favorite thing to do is jump in and go underwater.
We have also been spending time at DCA and Disneyland and having lots of fun!
I promise to keep this updated more often (I know, I said that before).

Erin is 2!

Well, it is official, our baby is now a toddler. Now for those of you that know Erin she is far from "toddling" she is living up to her nickname "Tornado". We started off the birthday weekend with a family party complete with an Abby Cadabby birthday cake made by Auntie Anne Marie.

Then on her actual birthday (Monday) she had a party at her Mommy and Me class with all of her friends and they had cupcakes and she got to do a felt board cake. She loved being the center of attention.

Then that night we went to Grandma's house and had another cake. This time she showed off how old she is.

Then we went to her 2 year old check up and the doctor was surprised that she said more than 50 words. I laughed and said if she only said 50 words our house would be much less noisy! The report from the doctor said she was great and in the 90th percentile for height and weight.
Next, to make it through Valentine's day...

Disneyland 2008

Well, we made it. At first we weren't sure that it was going to happen with all the crazy weather we have been having and the fact that John only had a few days off in December. But... we made it to Disneyland for Christmas. I know that is not such a big deal to some but you see we have this tradition, we take a family photo in front of the tree in Toontown every year and I did not want to miss it this year. John and I first took our picture together there the year we got married .

This is us in 2001.

skip ahead to 2006:
I was ready to pop!

This year we had lots of fun. We took my parents and they had fun sharing the day with the girls and going on all of the rides with them. Megan's new favorite rides are Soaring over California and Big Thunder Mountain and Erin loves the Tea Cups and Merry-Go-Round.

Here are some cute pictures from the day.

Playing Catch Up

Megan and her elf "Mixie"

Well it has been a while since my last post and so much as happened. I won't bore you with all the boring day to day things. Probably the biggest thing is that Erin was pretty darn sick with a nasty respitory thing. But, in true Erin style she got better and gave it to everyone else!

Luckily we were all feeling better in time for Turkey Day. We had a wonderful day with an extra special visit from Auntie LuLu, Uncle Steve, Aunt Naomi and Uncle Tony.

The day after we started decorating for Christmas! And shopping!

Erin says "I want this many presents!!!!"

Enough with the fire already!

So Southern California just can't seem to catch a break! I went to bed last night and John called at about 11:00pm and said there was a fire in Sylmar, when I woke up this morning at 0530 it was to a call from my Mom saying the police were at the door and they are under evacuation precaution. I told them that they could not come here again since this time the roads between the SFV and Santa Clarita were closed. It is now 5:20pm and so far they have not been ordered to evacuate.

This also threw a cramp in our day since I was suposed to host a baby shower for a very good friend, but she also lives in the SFV and couldn't get up here. Megan and Erin were very sad until they realized they had a cake here that they did not have to share!

Just for fun! Erin loves the park!

Halloween Night

Well, Halloween night went off without a hitch. Megan and Erin had lots of fun and our neighbor Libby made a very cute Snow White. We sepent over 2 hours trick or treating and went to 3 "haunted" houses. The girls really had a great time and Megan is already planning next years costume.

Dance class Halloween Party

Celebrating at dance class was lots of fun. Megan wore her fairy costume since I did not want Alice to get all dirty and because Erin cannot be left out she was a ballerina.
